I’m thrilled to announce that Anthropologie has chosen me to design their booth and table for the DIFFA Dining by Design Event at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show this year! The event is taking place March 19th through the 23rd at Pier 92 in NYC. Designers will create amazing dining areas that are put on display at the show and will later serve as tables for the gala benefiting DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS). Click here to take a look at some of the past designs and to get a sense of what I'll be be doing (and how insanely exciting this is)! Also, be sure to buy your tickets now to roam the show and find beautiful new products, vendors, and inspiration for your own home!
Working with Anthropologie has always been a dream of mine, as I love their products and think that their retail stores are full of innovative, gorgeous, and unexpected displays. They are a company that embraces creativity and personal style and, to my great delight, they have really been amping up their selection of furniture and home goods recently. So when they asked me to design their installation this year, I nearly fell over. Truly a dream come true for me and an exciting (and unexpected) moment in my life.
While the details of my table are top secret, I can tell you that it is going to be a showstopper! Every part of this process has been a real treat for me, and the Anthropologie team has been such a joy to work with, as they really get my vision and are doing everything in their power to make it a reality.
A few weeks ago, I went down to their headquarters in Philadelphia, and it was so inspiring to see their offices and all of the creativity at work in their gorgeous space. Anthropologie is part of the URBN brands that include Free People, Urban Outfitters, Terrain and BHLDN, each of which has their own building on the campus. The best part is that employees are able to bring their dogs to work, so I got to meet so many cute pooches!
The Anthropologie offices really made my heart sing. I was like a kid in a candy store, getting to preview new products and pull from their amazing inventory to create a table for the event that speaks to me and to their brand. It was a banner day and something I will never forget.
These are all photos I snapped while wandering around their incredible headquarters in Philly.
I'll be posting a few updates in the weeks leading up to show and, of course, giving sneak peeks and documenting my experience throughout the event, both on the blog and Instagram, so be sure to check in and see what we're up to!
